Job Description

The Secretary / Business Development Support Officer will provide efficient administrative, secretarial, communication, and coordination support to Management and the organization. The role also carries a moderate business development and sales-support responsibility, requiring the individual to assist with lead generation, client follow-up, relationship management, and identification of potential business opportunities. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, professional, articulate, proactive, and comfortable communicating with clients and prospects. The successful candidate should demonstrate basic sales ability and a willingness to contribute to revenue-generating activities while maintaining strong administrative standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage calls, emails, correspondence, appointments, and office documentation.
  • Prepare reports, letters, presentations, minutes, and other documents.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
  • Receive and attend to clients and visitors professionally.
  • Support Management with scheduling, follow-ups, research, and administrative tasks.
  • Assist in identifying potential clients and business opportunities.
  • Make introductory calls and follow up with prospective and existing clients.
  • Maintain a database of leads, prospects, and client interactions.
  • Support sales/business development activities, including meetings, proposals, and product presentations.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirement

  • OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years' experience in secretarial, administrative, customer service, sales, or related roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and administrative tools.
  • Basic sales, lead-generation, and customer follow-up skills.
  • Professional, organized, proactive, and presentable.
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
