Job Description

The ICT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s entire information and communication technology infrastructure, including servers, backend systems, web hosting environments, and internal network architecture. The role ensures that all digital platforms and IT systems are secure, scalable, highly available, and effectively aligned with business operations and growth objectives. In addition, the ICT Manager provides technical leadership and ensures optimal performance of all backend and infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities
ICT Strategy & Management
  • Develop and implement ICT strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and digital platforms.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of technology systems for efficiency and scalability.
Server & Infrastructure Management
  • Manage and maintain physical and cloud-based servers ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Monitor system health, logs, uptime, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Implement system updates, patches, and upgrades according to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues promptly.
Web Hosting & Systems Administration
  • Oversee web hosting environments including domains, SSL certificates, and DNS configurations.
  • Ensure stability, security, and performance of websites and applications.
  • Manage deployments, migrations, and hosting upgrades.
  • Monitor hosting resources and recommend scalable, cost-effective solutions.
Backend Systems & Development Oversight
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Ensure backend systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver functional solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure system integrity and quality standards.
Networking & Cybersecurity
  • Manage internal networks, firewalls, VPNs, and access control systems.
  • Ensure secure connectivity across servers, applications, and third-party integrations.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Support incident response, system recovery, and breach management procedures.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
  • Supervise ICT staff, engineers, and technical support personnel.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, hosting providers, and IT consultants.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Provide regular reports on system performance, risks, and improvements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of IT policies, procedures, and technical standards.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in ICT, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of server administration, cloud computing, and networking.
  • Experience in backend development, APIs, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and IT governance.
  • Certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, AWS, ITIL) are an added advantage.
